For our September issue, I'm taking a look at how facilities departments can handle fire/life safety when they can't be everywhere at once. In other words, how do you incorporate occupants into fire/life safety through roles such as being a floor warden or someone who is in charge of doing a headcount after the building is evacuated? Also, how do you ensure everyone is kept safe once they're outside the building?
